Understanding Lymphoedema
Lymphoedema refers to swelling caused by the accumulation of lymphatic fluid beneath the skin, often in the arms. This condition frequently arises after breast cancer surgery, especially when lymph nodes are removed during a mastectomy. Studies show that nearly 30% of women undergoing such treatments may experience lymphoedema, which can appear shortly after surgery or even several months later.
How FederFlex Lymphoedema Sleeves Help
FederFlex Lymphoedema Arm Sleeves are engineered to support lymphatic flow and reduce fluid buildup. They help to:
- Control lymph leakage from damaged vessels
- Soften hardened tissues (fibrosis) for improved comfort and circulation
- Minimize swelling by directing lymphatic fluid away from the affected area
Our sleeves provide graduated compression—firmest at the wrist and gradually reducing up the arm—ensuring optimal flow of lymphatic fluid towards the shoulder.
